Community of Practice

SPARC’s Community of Practice is a way to keep learning, continue practicing, and stay connected with peers.

Through regular meetings and communication, you can ask for feedback, share insights, and connect with people who care. We support you and your learning, while providing a space for you to share all you know!

As a member of the Community of Practice you can join when and how it makes sense for you. All members need to have completed the foundational SPARC course Essential Messaging for Animal Care & Well-being.

Regular Meetings

Join virtual meetings every two-months. They are designed to cover topics and issues relevant to your work and role. During these meetings you will:

  • Stay up-to-date on pressing topics
  • Tackle your tough questions
  • Build skills through case studies

Stay Connected

Between meetings, members connect through a shared Slack workspace. Join channels based on your role and interests. You’ll find news, insights, examples, and opportunities to ask and answer questions.

1:1 Coaching

Every member has an opportunity to meet 1:1 with SPARC staff to discuss what’s important to you. We can review specific materials, talk strategy, discuss what’s working or help you problem-solve.

Join the Community of Practice

All Community of Practice members are required to complete the mini-course before joining meetings or individual coaching.
